Let’s share this week’s power rankings in the NFL, it has been up and down in recent weeks. This season has been full of ton’s of excitement and drama. The Panthers remain undefeated and the Bengals may have lost Andy Dalton for the season. The injury bug has hit the NFL hard this season and as the season progresses players will continue to break down.
Let’s see what teams are holding the top 5 spots.
Carolina Panthers: Cam Newton and the Panthers are still leading the pack in the NFL power rankings. They stand at 13-0 and they do not look like they will be slowing down. They put a beating on division rival Atlanta Falcons to remain unbeaten. Mr. Newton is geared up t snatch his first ever MVP award. Oh yea, it was reported that Cam was fined for every football he gave away to a young fan that is not the case.
Arizona Cardinals: This team has been on a roll and is leading the way in the NFC west. They have already booked their way to a playoff spot with a 11-2 record. Carson Palmer is leading the NFL with a 83.6 QBR. He is also one touchdown shy of surpassing his 2oo5 total. The Seahawks are playing better football but they still remain behind in this division and may not catch up to the hot cards.
New England Patriots: What else can we say about the almighty NE Patriots? They have been the face of The NFL for more than a decade. The defending champs were off to a hot start until the injury bug caught up to them. They have lost key players on offense and defense. The pats hit a rough patch with a 2 game losing streak. Life is all better now with “Gronk” back in the lineup. If the Patriots can dodge the injury bug they should be ok. They clinched the AFC east title for the 7th year in a row.
Cincinnati Bengals: The Bengals were also off to a fast start until their QB Andy Dalton fractured his thumb. AJ McCarron stepped in but he is no Andy Dalton, not by a long shot. He did throw his first career touchdown when he connected with Wide Receiver with a bomb down field. Without out Dalton at the helm the Bengals future does not look good.
Denver Broncos: The Broncos may be heading towards a QB controversy, do you sit O’sweiler when Peyton Manning returns from his foot injury? O’sweiler did when his first three starts as starting QB, most notably defeating the New England Patriots in Denver. Fun Fact: Brock is not turning the ball over as much Peyton as starter. On the flip side he is taking more sacks than Peyton ever did.
Next week’s games will have playoff implications hopefully the teams hit with the injury bug can get their act together. Playoff wins matter!
